About Our Event

Book for Hope will host our 1st Annual Dancing for Gold on February 6, 2021 at Paducah Convention Center from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Book for Hope is a charitable childhood cancer organization. The mission of Book for Hope, Inc. is to raise childhood cancer awareness, financially support families in Western Kentucky as well as Southern Illinois that have a child going through cancer treatment, and donate to childhood cancer research. Book for Hope has a team of eight people that will dance in honor or memory of a child that has been attacked by childhood cancer. Book for Hope does not pay medical bills for families. Book for Hope gives an emergency envelope to every family that has had a completed application filled out by a pediatric oncology social worker, which is then sent to our address. The envelope contains a $150.00 pre-loaded Visa card, a $50.00 restaurant card, and a $50.00 gas card. The following month the family will submit a bill to Book for Hope in their name to pay for things such as: house/rent payments, utility bills, phone bills, auto insurance, vehicle payments as well as repairs, and so much more. Book for Hope will continue to pay bills for the family as long as a child is going through cancer treatment, which can sometimes continue on for 3 Ā½ years. Get ready to help change the face of pediatric cancer while having a great time!

We are so grateful for our dancers that are starting to fundraise for their $10,000.00 goal.šŸŽ—
